The club’s computers are available for hire to any club member between clubnights. The member may select up to five different games to go with their selected computer and may exchange these during the period of hire if desired. Each pack includes full instructions for set-up and use. The hire charge for each one-week hire period is currently around £9 for recent machines and £4 for older ones. Individual games may sometimes be hired separately for around 5% of the game’s current retail price per week. Members are responsible for any damage to the computers or games, but no damage has occurred since the hire scheme was launched in July 1992. Any member who would like to hire one of the computers should discuss the matter with Michael. If a pack is available a parent or guardian should arrange to collect the desired pack at the end of a clubnight and sign the relevant booking form which gives full conditions of hire and the latest date and time by which the pack must be returned.
